“This edition of “Mix of The Day” comes to us courteous of the one and only, Jeremy Sole, by way of The Do-Over in Los Angeles. On top of being one of the nicest guys in the game, Jeremy is one of my favourite DJ’s out there. His eclectic sets have garnered the praise of many heavyweights, including the perennial Gilles Peterson.
I’ve had the pleasure of DJing with Jeremy on three separate occasions; twice in LA, and once in Vancouver. All I can say is that the guy knows how to command the attention of the dance floor; seamlessly crafting his way through a multitude of genres, constantly elevating the energy of the room and leaving the patrons in a glaze of sweat (if you don’t know, you’ll know what I’m talking about after you give this mix the aural test).
When he’s not globetrotting behind the turntables and making tunes, you can find Mr. Sole behind the mic on one of the best radio stations on the planet: KCRW. If you haven’t already, I highly suggest you tune in to his weekly show, which airs every Wednesday from 12am-3am pst.”
