Flying Lotus, Shabazz Palaces (formerly of Digable Planets), and Thundercat are combining forces on a new project called WOKE that has all the potential to be one of the finest “super group” records in a long time. It will surely push a few boundaries…

The first peak into the project is the track “The Lavishments of Light Looking”, premiered as part Adult Swim’s Singles lineup. The song also features living legend Parliament-Funkadelic frontman George Clinton.

This year’s Adult Swim Singles also includes DOOM and Ghostface Killah’s DOOMSTARKS project, Run the Jewels, Flying Lotus, Chromatics, Owen Pallett, Shabazz Palaces, Skrillex, Slayer, D∆WN (formerly Dawn Richard), and Swervedriver, among others.
