Exclusive Premiere: St. Barbe “Tellicherry”
On today’s exclusive, London-based trio St. Barbe blend jazz and rock with style on their forthcoming single, “Tellicherry”.
“Telliicherry” features heavy grooves, memorable melodies and ethereal textures, presenting a fresh fusion of contemporary jazz and rock. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Tigran Hamaysan, Animals As Leaders and Plini, the track represents an evolution in the band’s sound, with improvisation as the undercurrent to a rich arrangement and creative production choices.
According to the band, “”Tellicherry” is the culmination of everything we’ve been working on the last few years. We’ve spent more time producing and arranging this track whilst still trying to keep the improvised elements that were a big part of our debut E.P. We’re really pleased with the direction it’s taken and are excited to share it with everyone. “
