Forgotten Treasure: Ghislain Poirier “Pampa Pimp” (2006)
Poirier is one of Montreal‘s biggest ambassadors of basslines, tropical riddims, lasers and foghorns. But he’s also one of the nicest dudes in the city who is always open to collaborate and share opportunities with up and coming talents. 2010 has been a really good year for him: his album “Running High” on Ninja Tune has been doing really well and he’s been solidifying his “Karnival” party as one of the best monthlies in the city.
This track is from the 2006 EP “Rebondir“. A massive riddim heavy on the drums and the bassline. I hate to share this one with you cause it’s one of my secrets dancefloor weapons but here goes…!
