Music is My Sanctuary is proud to present the latest in our wide-ranging Guest Mix series. For this one, we head to the Midwest, and more specifically Cleveland, where we linked up with multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, and DJ – Broken Keys.
As one of the biggest names in the Cleveland Electronic/beats scene for over a decade, Broken Keys has solidified his name as a producer to always keep an eye (and ear) on. We kindly asked him to record a little something for us, and needless to say, he delivered. The vibe perfectly captures not only his own productions but also his inspirations and current spins.
“My approach for this set was to include mostly newer stuff I’ve been digging and to highlight a few of my favorite Cleveland artists. It’s a one-hour journey through hip hop, indie, house, jazz, and beat stuff.
I’ve also included some exclusives – an unreleased collaboration with Tall Black Guy (Suite For Candido) from a forthcoming collab release. And to round out the mix, I closed it with an unreleased song (Always The First to Know) that will be featured on my upcoming full-length album, due out next year.”
