On Nov. 4th, Blu and Parisian production duo, Union Analogtronics, will release their collaborative album entitled “Cheetah In The City.”
The Los Angeles rapper recorded the entire album in Paris and the album was entirely produced by Union Analogtronics. The album features guest appearances from Dam-Funk, Frank N Dank, Phat Kat, Erik Rico, Olivier Day Soul and others.
The album follows a conceptual narrative of Blu acting as the protagonist, “the cheetah” and the everyday experiences of growing up in urban Los Angeles. The tiger (displayed on the album cover) represents one of the many rivals or struggles that the cheetah faces in his quest for supremacy in the city.
Today, check out the single for the track “Don’t Trip” which features Dam-Funk on vocals. Blu effortlessly raps about LA life over Union’s synth laden G-Funk influenced production.
