I used to not collect 45’s and I still hate myself for forgoing digging through them in Lima for lack of time (so much Fania and Peruvian garage left behind). But now I have 45 fever and I am amassing big quantities. Soon shoeboxes just don’t cut it anymore and sorting becomes a hassle.
The time comes when you have to file all that wax and 45s can be tricky to store properly. If you want to categorize and be able to flip through you need 45 cases but they are getting harder to find used and the shoddy plastic one from the thriftstore will break and looks terrible.
To bring 45s to your next gig or to keep your collection neatly divided at the crib, here are some options for brand new customizable cases.
+ Lookwright offers solid and stylish woodcases that can be engraved with a logo and stack for home use.
+ Zoinks record shop has a variety of material options on sturdy cases and you cab customize your latches. They also do 10″
Cop Double storage for the all 45 set at your next gig or some smaller cases to separate the genres in your collection and you won’t know how you were able to live without them
