The almighty DâM-FunK stopped by NTS radio on last Tuesday, and made sure to expose all the spectrums of Funk.
His 2 hour set his filled with Boogie Funk classics such as Zapp, Young & Company, D-Train, some Modern Funk jams from Brett Eclectic & Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble, Moon B and his collaborative project with Snoop Dogg – 7 Days Of Funk. There’s also a few G-Funk cuts and some uptempo “funk-infused” house courtesy of Omar S (including an exclusive collab with the latter).
One thing I always appreciate about listening to DâM’s set is his generosity and humbleness towards the listener, making sure his audience knows what’s up, and also the fact that he plays with a sense of “laissez-faire”/ impromptu set; it makes his selection genuine and authentic, no gimmicks.
