via Bandcamp: Second Circle’s first release of 2017 is a four-track debut EP from young Dutch producer Chris Kuhlen aka Dazion.
Dazion‘s debut release introduces the Hague based producer’s deep love for goofy rhythm boxes and mid-’80s forgotten synths, and also features two collaborators; Ghanian musician Ebou Gaye Mada, who sings and plays percussion on “Be A Man”, and Ljubiša Arsenović (Paya), who sings on “Dancing In The Future”.
Kuhlen was blown away by Ebou Gaye Mada‘s voice and percussive skills after seeing him perform live. “It seemed like a great idea to see if he wanted to do a vocal and drum part on ‘Be A Man’,” he says. “He was really cool about it. Before I knew it, he was travelling from Germany by bus and then standing next to me, in the recording studio, with this cool little drum he brought with him.”
Second Circle Records is a sublabel of Music From Memory.
