jitwam returns with this 4 track EP in anticipation of his debut album dropping in August!
Though beats and fuzzy hip-hop instrumentals may be all the rage, jitwam (apparently from Manipur, but currently based in Brooklyn…?) offers something more out of the box with his original slow-motion funk, dusty soul, and cassette-spun R&B.
Recent features include Moodymann’s inaugral mix for DJ-Kicks, radio support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, collaborations with Inkswel and Paul White (MCDE, R&S), and live shows played at the now legendary Low End Theory parties in L.A and with Yussef Kamaal (Brownswood).
The EP was manifested by jitwam, and mastered by LEAVING RECORDS / Stones Throw’s Matthewdavid.
