Forgotten Treasure: Chaka Khan “What You Did” (1980)
Wow, talk about a dope A-side B-side combo right here. “What you did” came out in 1980 as a B-side to “Clouds” by Ashford & Simpson. Both tracks are just a perfect mix of the soul, disco and boogie sound. Something that could only have come out in the late 70’s, early 80’s. I’ve had this on 7″ for a while now and why I’ve never shared this here or one a mix I don’t know!
Pick this up on 7″ or on the 1980 “Naughty” LP on Warner Bros. Essential!
