Next month, on July 12th, Dudley Perkins returns in raw rap form with a brand new Declaime album – Self Study, entirely produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow.
The project is easily Dudley’s most focused effort since Holy Smokes, which finds him back at the forefront of his craft & more commanding than ever, with his patented “fOnk in habit form” stylings over some of Georgia’s hardest hitting productions to date.
The album features specially commissioned artwork & fold-out poster from artist, TokiO, as well as guest appearances from Kev Brown, MED, LMNO, Prince Po, and Reverend Michael Beckwith from Agape.
Regarding the science behind the project, Dudley explains “Self Study is an acknowledgement of the transformation I’ve been going through. This album is a self help tool for me and others to raise the vibration in you to a more positive level.”
The first visuals for the album drop today in the form of a self-directed music video for “Quartz,” the album’s first single, which features performance artist Ogechi Chieke. The track is at once both a spiritual mantra involving quantum physics and a bubblin bump of fOnk & hip-hop like only G&D could cook up
