“Kemet” has many meannings in its hieroglyph form. One is “black” another is “crocodile skin with spines”. I guess it’s not that important because it’s also the name of a new internet release from a rapper with good taste in beats and a large interest in ancient egypt.
The choices of beats here range from more conventional hiphop jazz beats to forward thinking type of beats. The raps are also quite nice. The spiritual had a deepness to alot of lyrics even those that are not typically about ancient Egypt (like “Real M.F.”). Take a listen!
Bangin’, n’est-ce pas?
