Another gem that came at me straight outta nowhere. I have this monthly discoveries exchange going on with LEC, one of my longtime childhood friends and this was one of his nuggets. Wow, ok. 1-0.
THE LEFT are a trio with Appollo Brown on production duties that have apparently been making noise and are now dropping their awaited album called “Gas Mask” (props on the creepy album cover). “The Melody” is just one of the tracks on an apparently loaded record. Yeah it’s another one of those chopped-soul sample style cuts, but this one is done right. Late nomination for 2010 sleeper of the year.
