via Juno: “Given Aaron FIT Siegel’s close link to Detroit’s finest talents, we weren’t expecting him to release a 12” by an artist such as Moscow’s Oleg Buyanov, dubbed simply as OL.
But, don’t get us wrong, this is a great move for the label, and we’re happy to see Siegel branching out into other domains. Also, it has to be said that OL’s tunes have much in common with the Motor City’s tradition, anyway. The lead tune “Lada Passenger” is a jazzy house experiment, a dance sketch with plenty of free-roaming harmonies and effects circling around it.
On the flip, “Study Drum” has more in common with the typical deep house framework, and “Life Span” warms our winter chills with a deep, glowing bassline that you simply must test out at high volumes…”
