Yeah in February for the past few years it’s been DILLA all day everyday. I think we would probably all get over it if the man didn’t have such a ridiculous catalog of production. Even as a Dilla head, when you think you know everything an unreleased nugget surfaces (like today’s unreleased Spacek collaboration).
The disciples of Jay Dee who follow his path also contribute to the legacy with creations, remixes, covers and so on. One of the most interesting ones was Ta-Ku’s 50 Beats in 50 Days for Dilla project.
We can now add to that another Dilla inspired creation by a new school guy. Montreal’s SHASH’U takes on the classic “The Red” from the Jaylib project. Top notch head bumpage!
